Create Now serves vulnerable kids from birth to age 24 at shelters, group homes, mental health clinics, etc. – children who have been abused, homeless, incarcerated and dealing with similar challenges. Our programs in writing, visual arts, music, performing arts, fashion, culinary arts and digital media enable at-risk and high-risk youth to learn new skills and build confidence as they prepare for jobs and careers. We also teach arts education in Title 1 and continuation schools. Each year, Create Now brings thousands of these "forgotten children" to concerts, plays and other cultural events. We also produce arts festivals in low-income neighborhoods. Our organization has reached 44,000 of the most troubled youth in Southern California during the last 21 years. We seek a part-time Development Associate to help with fundraising initiatives, like grants management, crowdfunding campaigns, donor prospecting and outreach. SUMMARY: The Development Manager is responsible for coordinating and supporting the priorities and activities of fundraising, development, and philanthropy for Food Bank of Northwest Indiana, including, but not limited to, solicitation and cultivation of individual, corporate and foundation gifts; direct mail coordination; support of fundraising events; participation in volunteerism and community engagement initiatives.
